Responsibilities
Provide testing and validation oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
Review design documents, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and manage third-party commissioning vendors for onsite pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing.
Own projects’ successes by Diving Deep to resolve technical issues and Bias for Action to address schedule and coordination demands onsite.
Coordinate multi-discipline input into scheduling, test script development, design, and project planning.
Review submittal packages, lead FWT, and perform system level and integrated system testing.
Audit commissioning activities for environmental, quality, and safety compliance; provide weekly status reports and lessons learned to improve the program.
Support multiple inflight projects with quick timelines and ensure clear paths to resolution for issues.
Requirements / Basic Qualifications
5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 5 years of relevant discipline work experience.
High technical competency in mechanical, electrical, or control systems used in critical infrastructures, with ability to learn other areas.
Ability to review design documentation (drawings, specifications, vendor submittals, sequences of operations) and provide feedback to Amazon standards for basis of design.
Develop or review commissioning documentation such as test plans, scripts, and reports to ensure design compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint experience preferred.
Effective communication, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work in high-stress environments with multiple teams.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures.
Ability to read and edit construction documents (design drawings, control diagrams, specifications).
Experience developing and executing test procedures based on design intent and approved submittals.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,100/year to $185,000/year. Pay is based on location and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; depending on the role, equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided.
