What you will be doing Join our talented finance team, where you’ll partner with every area of the business to drive results and provide financial expertise. As the Associate Manager of Strategic Sourcing, you’ll manage strategic sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and competitive bids, while building and maintaining relationships with new and existing suppliers. You will collaborate with stakeholders to support their business strategies and help them navigate the procure‑to‑pay process, executing sourcing strategies that deliver value, drive cost reduction, and contribute to our annual savings targets. Your role will encompass supplier selection, contract negotiation, and the facilitation of contract renewals and extensions, all while serving as a liaison between suppliers, business partners, and internal teams such as Legal, Risk, and Cyber Security. You’ll support procurement operations, ensure continuity of supply, and manage risk throughout the supply chain. All Staples Associates are expected to be onsite in the Staples Office 3 days per week.

Ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
Financial acumen and analytical skills
Experience in driving cost reduction and efficiency improvements
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
Novice project management skills with the ability to drive procurement goals to be successful
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Coupa/ePAS or other procure‑to‑pay systems
Proficient in negotiation and contract processes, including legal terms and supplier concerns
Novice RFP management experience, including the end‑to‑end process from creation to award
Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related fields
Professional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP
