SUMMARY:
We're looking to hire a results-driven Follow Up Specialist for our WIOA Youth Program who will keep our program participants fully engaged in the labor force for at least twelve months after they've secured full-time employment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for performance calculations and reporting requirements, which include participants' employment status during the second and fourth quarter after exit, credential rate, and measurable skills gain. Maintain participant follow-up records, including file preparation, organization of files, and verification that all information has been received and properly filed. Responsible for collecting supplemental wage data by utilizing proper forms (Employment Verification Form and Consent for Release of Information) to fax/email to employers; track all faxes/emails for supplemental wage data and attempt other methods (check stubs, Work Number data, phone calls) of collecting information if the employer does not respond. Conduct Follow-Up Interviews with participants and identify the appropriate information to collect (i.e., new address, phone numbers, additional contact information, and supplemental wage information) and provide job leads/employment referrals if unemployed and seeking employment. Prepare and maintain records and case files, proper documentation of services provided, narratives of client contacts, or relevant correspondence. Monitor and record clients' progress to ensure that goals and objectives are met. Compose correspondence (introductory letter, monthly contact letter, year-end follow-up letter) using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Maintain an awareness of socioeconomic factors bearing on unemployment, local labor community problems, and/or resources relating to the labor market. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate Degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of work-related experience, preferably in a field of workforce development and customer service, or Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study preferred. Requires excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and phone). Demonstrate proficiency in software including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access (Database). Demonstrate proficiency in Internet usage. Responsible for providing follow-up services. In addition, provides Labor Market Information, job leads, and employment referrals to ensure job retention and skill enhancement opportunities. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess and provide a valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Liability Insurance as required by the State of Texas.
