Facility Location: Allen Park - 9150 Allen Park, MI 48101

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

General Summary Under the direction of the Director of Therapy, assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of rehabilitation services according to professional standards of practice in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Your Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to interdisciplinary team for patient discharge planning, following Medicare guidelines.

Review clinical documentation (including MDS Assessments) in relation to Medicare guidelines, discharge planning, and insurance requirements.

Lead and problem-solve issues related to the provision of rehabilitation services.

Provide direct patient care, in area of professional expertise/discipline, meeting clinical and State of Michigan regulatory requirements.

Supervise the rehabilitation department in the absence of the Director of Therapy.

Develop reports, correspondence, and analysis with strong written and communication skills.

Educate, influence, and support rehabilitation staff and other disciplines through strong verbal communication skills.

Demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Maintain strong customer relations skills.

Possess working knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting.

Exercise mature judgment and initiative in analyzing problems and recommending solutions to provide effective rehabilitation services.

Understand and react effectively to the needs of various clinical age populations, evidenced through education and experience.

Required Qualifications

Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
