A cutting-edge battery technology company is developing next-generation lithium-ion battery systems that are pushing the boundaries of energy storage performance. Their advanced electrolyte formulations are enabling safer, higher-performance batteries for critical applications across automotive, aerospace, and energy storage markets. They’re hiring a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to design, build, and own the full supply chain for their growing operation. You’ll manage day-to-day logistics and procurement while creating the systems, processes, and vendor partnerships needed for rapid scale. This role blends tactical execution with strategic planning - shaping supplier strategy, inventory control, inbound/outbound logistics, and the tools that will support commercialization. Responsibilities include: Lead procurement of raw materials, specialty chemicals, equipment, and manufacturing supplies; ensure cost-effective, reliable sourcing. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including freight, carrier selection, customs, and international shipments. Support production planning and scheduling to align supply with R&D and manufacturing needs. Implement and maintain inventory control systems, incoming quality checks, and accurate shipment/receipt records. Manage supplier relationships: track orders, negotiate contracts, resolve quality or delivery issues and mitigate supply interruptions. Introduce and optimize digital tools (ERP/SCM) and KPIs to measure and improve supply chain performance. Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce lead times, lower cost, and increase supply resilience during scale-up. Requirements: 5+ years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations - ideally in advanced materials, chemicals, manufacturing, or energy storage. Demonstrated experience with procurement, vendor management, and inbound/outbound logistics. Familiarity implementing or working with ERP / supply chain management software and digital inventory systems. Strong organizational skills; comfortable managing tactical daily operations and long-term process design. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field; advanced degree a plus. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary (DOE) + meaningful equity.
