Role involves leading three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. This is a front-line leadership role with a focus on developing associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving growth objectives for three offices. The position is in-person.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to drive growth during tax season.

Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an exceptional client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three offices.

Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.

Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing community involvement.

Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office roles.

Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center.

Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching, recognizing outstanding contributions.

Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.

Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management for associates in all offices.

Occasional travel between offices as required.

Prepare tax returns as needed, following completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment where applicable.

Your Expertise

People management experience with a track record of growing and developing associates.

Ability to execute growth plans and foster a growth-oriented culture.

Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.

Computer proficiency, including MS Office.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (where applicable).

Work Schedule & Location You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, the schedule transitions to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.

Pay & Benefits Pay range:

$15.00 - $40.00/hour . Local minimum wage laws apply. The information is posted to inform applicants of potential earnings; actual pay depends on experience, education, skills, performance, and location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits as described below.
