Logistics Assistant (LA)
Position is contingent upon the award of a contract. Updates on status of contract and next steps will be provided during the hiring process.
Minimum Qualifications
High school education required
Bachelor degree preferred
Valid Driver’s License Required
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Experience Required
2 Years of experience in Logistics Support
Working knowledge and competency in basic computer programs, including Microsoft applications, email, and operating within Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI)
Experience with phone/voicemail and contacting emergency services
Ability to operate government vehicles; driving is incidental to duties
Job Objective Provide administrative and logistics support to NSWCEN MEDICAL/SPORT MEDICINE and MENTAL HEALTH for BUD/s students, instructor staff, and support staff.
Responsibilities
Provide professional, administrative, or technical services in support of medical initiatives and assigned missions to include Mental Health and Sports Medicine.
Maintain inventory control and replenishment of NSWCEN medical office materials; provide logistic support in requesting and processing stock issues.
Review stock limits and determine adjustment levels; monitor high‑volume critical spares to ensure adequate stock quantities are available during Hell Week and Tours.
Conduct material location audits to determine location validity and correct discrepancies; relocate and consolidate stock material as required.
Create, modify, and update data records to indicate receipt, issue, and inventory adjustment using an automated system; communicate unresolved database discrepancies with Senior Medical Advisor and Deputy Senior Medical Officer.
Input customer material requirements; work with N4 Supply and N7 Budget to update final issue status in computer‑based inventories.
Enter purchase requests into BIZFLOW, POWERAPPS, and AMERISOURCE for government official approval.
