The opportunity is in EY Private Tax, focusing on privately held companies, ranging from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies, with high growth and a diverse portfolio of challenging tax planning and compliance projects. Responsibilities

Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships, including foreign reporting for cross-border tax compliance (foreign partnerships, foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, and foreign affiliate reporting). Provide tax research, draft tax memoranda, and assist in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services. Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers. Liaise with other service lines and subject matter professionals; build long-term client relationships and tailor services to client needs. Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients; maintain and share up-to-date technical knowledge. Manage, coach and develop a team of tax professionals; review work and ensure team members have the resources to excel. Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. Skills and Attributes for Success

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with tax, business or financial planning experience. A CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills; confidence to engage with diverse stakeholders. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or tax. Willingness to travel and work in a balanced hybrid environment. Preferred qualifications

Commitment to continuing learning. Proficiency with tax software (RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA, Lexis Nexis). Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus. Experience in managing, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues. What We Look For
