Overview
Total Family Services (TFS) Therapist Program Lead at Suncoast Center, Inc. Suncoast Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated mental health professional to lead the Total Family Strategy (TFS) program, driving positive outcomes for children and families in need. This role involves planning family engagement groups and events, collaborating with community partners, and providing clinical leadership to a team of therapists, peer mentors, and case managers. You will be part of a diverse, collaborative team focused on empowering families and creating lasting change. Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision & Leadership: Guide and support therapists, peer mentors, and case managers; maintain a small active caseload; foster team collaboration and implement agency procedures. Direct Therapeutic Services: Deliver in-home and community-based counseling that is culturally competent, strength-based, and trauma-informed; conduct family assessments and develop individualized treatment plans; meet with families weekly and provide crisis intervention as needed. Family Support Activities: Plan and lead inclusive, trauma-informed engagement events and groups; collaborate with schools and community partners to reduce family isolation; promote family leadership and advocacy. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical documentation and performance data; ensure program compliance with JWB, CARF, and Florida guidelines; participate in program audits and reporting activities. Community Outreach: Represent Suncoast Center at community meetings and events; build partnerships with local providers to support client needs; promote active family participation in all program activities. Other Duties: Perform additional job duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education:
Master\'s degree in Clinical Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field. Experience:
At least 3 years of clinical experience working with children and families, particularly in trauma, mental illness, and substance use. Two years of successful leadership experience required. Skills:
Strength-based approach, culturally competent, and experienced with trauma-informed care. Job Requirements
Must be 21 years of age. Must have a negative drug screening prior to hire and throughout employment. Must pass a Criminal Background Check, local checks, and DCF Level II Background Screening prior to hire and annually; must be in compliance with Florida laws with fingerprinting and good moral character. Valid Florida Driver’s License and successful motor vehicle checks prior to hire and annually; reliable vehicle, valid registration, and valid vehicle insurance. Computer literacy Availability for at least 3 evenings a week (Mon–Thu until 7pm) with a 5-day work week (Mon–Fri). Work is primarily off-site in client homes and community locations. Working Conditions
Work is in client homes and community settings; travel between locations; schedule includes evenings. Exposure to heat and humidity in summer; schedule may be irregular based on client availability. Benefits
