About the Role
As the Field Category Manager, Convenience West, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and profitability for Ferrero within your assigned market, which includes key accounts like Circle K, Maverik, Chevron, and select regional chains. You’ll leverage data-driven insights to craft compelling, objective selling stories that help achieve sales and margin goals.
In this role, you’ll also be responsible for developing category management strategies that elevate Ferrero’s brand equity across the U.S. convenience landscape. Your work will directly influence how our brands are positioned and perceived in the market.
You’ll collaborate closely with brokers and internal teams, ensuring alignment and execution excellence.
This is a remote position, ideally based in the Western U.S., and you’ll report to the Field Category Management Director, Convenience.
Main Responsibilities
Build relationships with retailers (independent of sales) to become or strengthen strategic and trusted partner status; with the vision of official advisership
Own the narrative and execution plan on best in class shelving with our retail partners, leveraging Ferrero’s shelving principals and partnering with our category capabilities team
Leverage tools and resources such as the C-Store Impulse Playbook to elevate thought leadership and provide meaningful insights to our retail partners to help Customers optimize category performance and achieve their business objectives
Partner with National Account Managers, assigned broker and internal partners to develop data driven, category centric sales enablers to support distribution KPIs
Monitor and analyze category, competition and consumer market data to proactively identify business opportunities and develop actionable category insights
Participate in and develop content for retailer annual line reviews and joint business planning ("JBP") sessions to enhance category growth within the Confections, Cookies and Spreads Categories
Leverage all syndicated data resources, shopper insights platforms and research in support of the sales initiatives that ensure linkage with the category management plan
Be the subject matter expert on key data tools (E.G. assortment, IRI, retailer loyalty data, etc.)
About You
7 years or more relevant experience required, CPG Foods experience is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a business/marketing discipline required; MBA a plus
Prior Category Management role required; Additional insights experience and/or space planning preferred
Syndicated data required; IRI preferred but not mandatory
Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with the necessary internal and external stakeholders, building solid relationships and achieving brand sales goals
Strategic and proactive thinking to develop category strategies and translate them into distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising objectives
Data analysis skills to monitor key accounts' performance in category and develop strategies to close gaps, increase sales, etc.
Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel & PowerPoint, and Storytelling capabilities to translate data & insights into selling narratives
Management presentation competencies to effectively present key category insights in front of internal and external stakeholders
Candidates should possess strong collaborative capabilities, high integrity & ethics, and operate daily with the company's values in mind

Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
Trade class and industry knowledge
30% Travel required for customer & HQ meetings and industry events
Compensation Data The base salary range for this position is $118,000 - $156,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
