We are growing at City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center in Irvine and are seeking a Radiation Oncology Nurse who will collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and Radiation Therapist to coordinate treatment plans, ensure quality patient care, and provide continuity during treatment and follow-up care. The nurse provides direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families for issues related to the disease and its treatment, and engages in patient and family teaching, symptom management, and counseling.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in either the outpatient or hospital setting.
Assess and monitor patient's condition and progress.
Start IV for imaging and radiation treatment procedures.
Provide education to patients and families.
Document patient's medical history, vital signs, and relevant information.
Assist in the development of individualized care plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in nursing is required
Three to five years related experience
Current California Registered Nurse License
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
Must have excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
