Act as part of the medical services team providing reproductive and prenatal health care according to PPHP protocol and operational process. Responsibilities
Obtain a complete health history, including obstetric, gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical, sexual, family health, and psychosocial history; record findings accurately and succinctly. Perform physical examinations with emphasis on the reproductive system, including breast examination, pelvic examination, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other specialized procedures as indicated. Care for approximately 3.5 patients per hour. After observation and approval, provide direct medical care to patients for core services, including family planning, medication abortion, and prenatal care. Participate in achieving patient-focused goals. Provide recommendations for specialists when care is outside the scope of Planned Parenthood. Perform order and interpretation of diagnostic studies as indicated and permitted by affiliate medical protocols. Consult with the Chief Medical Officer, Associate Medical Directors, and Chief Operating Officer to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines. Provide relevant health instruction including family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and principles of health promotion and maintenance. Provide a conduit of information between sites and PPHP departments; participate in ongoing feedback with colleagues; incorporate customer satisfaction into all aspects of work; encourage team to evaluate and improve systems. Complete all responsibilities according to established protocols, policies and standard practices in customer service, quality assurance and regulatory compliance programs such as HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and FPBP. Support and encourage a culture that values integrity, partnership, customer focus, communication, and quality; promote diversity and culturally and linguistically competent service. Demonstrates flexibility and teamwork; ensures interactions reflect PPHP values; supports PPHP diversity program and ongoing development of awareness of diversity matters. Current NYS license as an NP, PA, or CNM. National board certification preferred. Three to five years clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Ability to lead and motivate teams as well as work as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse staff and patients. Ability and willingness to manage 3.5 patients per hour. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. $123,000 - $130,000 annual salary depending on experience. Includes: extra shift incentive program, quarterly clinician incentive program, and additional quarterly incentive program. Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, Voluntary Benefits; may be eligible for paid maternity leave after one year; Tuition Reimbursement Program, Preceptorship Bonus, Quarterly Bonus program and a 401(k) Plan with a match. The salary range may be modified in the future based on location, specialty, experience, credentials, budget and internal equity. Loan reimbursement totaling up to $100,000 paid out over 5 years of employment; payments will be made in increments of $20,000 at the end of each year; paid out over a 5-year period; payable after each year of employment from the date of hire.
