Overview
Radiographer - MRI PRN (Less than 20 hours weekly) at University of Maryland Faculty Physicians Responsibilities
Performs a variety of routine and specialized technical procedures in accordance with established MRI protocols and procedures. Demonstrates clinical competence in all section protocols established by the radiologists and applies detailed knowledge of anatomy to produce high-quality images. Assists in mentoring of new technologists and other support staff. Greet and introduce self to patients, verify identification and the examination to be performed. Explain examinations to patients and families, obtain required consent forms prior to the examination. Prepare and administer contrast media to patients either intravenously or through other routes, and assess the patient’s condition prior to administration or performing the MRI examination. Position patients for the proper MRI examination and instruct patients on physiological requirements for the procedure. Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology One year of related experience preferred Health Care Provider CPR certification Licensure from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Medical Radiation Technologist Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Advanced certification in MRI is preferred Essential Information

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
