The successful applicant will provide quality emergent care to client-owned animals in a dynamic teaching hospital. We added two evening Emergency Staff Veterinarians one year ago and are looking to continue evolving the role. Responsibilities
Work with our strong team of seven ECC-boarded specialists, eight ECC residents, rotating interns, and twelve licensed veterinary technicians dedicated to the emergency practice. Join our welcoming group of board-certified veterinarians representing all specialties at Cornell University Hospital for Animals in Ithaca, NY. Provide exceptional care to dogs, cats and exotic species in need of both primary and referral emergency case management. DVM/VMD with a minimum of 2 years companion animal practice experience, preferably including a busy rotating internship or emergency experience. Thrives in the fast-paced clinical environment of a busy ER. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with clients, team members and local referring veterinarians. Interested in a team approach to high quality emergency medicine. Has a growth mindset while providing leadership and experience. Excited about hands on teaching of DVM students in our academic, multi-specialty practice.
