This tool will monitor and ensure the performance of critical communications systems, including Skype for Business (SfB), Microsoft Teams, Cisco CMS, Cisco Phones, and VTC.

As the primary point of contact for UC system performance, the successful candidate will act as the first line of defense, working independently to ensure that all communication systems are running optimally and efficiently.

This position requires a self-starter who can quickly learn and implement new technologies while maintaining operational stability. The ideal candidate will be able to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues, making a significant contribution to the reliability and success of our communication systems.

Lead the deployment and configuration of the SL1/VOSS monitoring tool across all Unified Communications platforms (SfB, Teams, Cisco CMS, Cisco Phones, VTS). Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure integration of SL1/VOSS with existing systems and infrastructure.

System Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

Monitor system performance and availability for all Unified Communications tools. Analyze performance data to ensure that UC systems meet or exceed defined performance standards. Proactively identify and address any performance or routing issues affecting communications.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

Act as the first line of defense for resolving performance issues and escalations. Work independently to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve more complex issues.

System Evolution & Improvements:

Continuously evolve and improve SL1/VOSS to enhance monitoring capabilities and system performance. Stay up to date with industry trends and new features in SL1/VOSS, applying these improvements to ensure system reliability and performance.

Documentation & Reporting:

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SL1/VOSS configurations, monitoring parameters, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate performance reports and provide insights to stakeholders on system health and areas for improvement.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:

Provide support and guidance to team members and other departments on using SL1/VOSS for performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Participate in regular meetings with internal stakeholders to review system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
