Overview

Manager Systems Engineering 2 – Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, NorCal team at Cyber & Information Solutions (C&IS) Business Unit. The selected candidate will dual‑hat as a functional homeroom manager for a team of systems engineers (approximately 20% of workload) and as a technical lead or individual contributor on a program (approximately 80% of workload). On-site work at the McClellan, CA facility is required. Base pay range: $156,500.00/yr - $234,700.00/yr. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance: Secret. Travel: Yes, up to 10% of the time. Responsibilities

Lead a team of 10–15 systems engineers (grades T01–T06), including interns. Provide career development, mentoring, coaching, and employee engagement. Coordinate staffing, recruiting, training, performance evaluations, promotions, salary considerations, and career goal setting with HR. Forecast and manage workload for each team member. Develop and improve personnel and organizational technical skills. Collaborate with HR to mediate personnel issues; ensure process alignment and support program milestones and reviews. Work with managers of other engineering disciplines, program managers, and IPT leads; champion organizational change. Demonstrate ethics, integrity, innovation, and commitment to diverse, inclusive teams with strong engagement. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM field; 9 years of industry experience (7 years with a Master’s). Active DoD Secret clearance. Minimum 2 years of Systems Engineering experience. Must have prior management/leadership experience with day-to-day SE oversight. Preferred Qualifications

3 years in lead or first-level manager role in a technical engineering capacity. 5 years Systems Engineering experience. 3 years System-Level Integration experience. Demonstrated system ownership in requirements analysis, architecture development, integration, or verification. Minimum of 5 years combined experience in Systems Engineering, MBSE, System Integration, System Test, or Software Test Engineering. What We Can Offer You
