Responsibilities

Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store; assist pharmacists and ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly. Provide compassionate, patient-centered service at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; help create a positive patient experience and assist with immunizations and other services where appropriate. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices; communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Complete basic inventory activities as directed by the pharmacy leadership team (e.g., shelving deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and inventory maintenance). Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, seek feedback, and expand clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients. Maintain scheduling flexibility to meet business needs; may travel to other stores in the market as needed. Understand and comply with federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies to ensure patient safety, privacy, and proper dispensing practices. Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowable by law and trained/certified. Perks and Immunization Support

Where permissible, the Pharmacy Technician may support immunizations, including obtaining Technician Immunizer status and related responsibilities as allowed by state regulations. Required Qualifications

Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements and laws governing the practice of pharmacy (e.g., age, education, licensure/certification). If the state board does not mandate a minimum age, candidate must be at least 16 years old. State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state; additional licensure or certification may be required. Essential Functions

Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe. Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks; pivot to meet patient and business needs; verify prescription information and labeling for accuracy. Customer Service and Team Orientation: proactively assist people and respond to patient reactions appropriately. Communication Skills: effective verbal and written communication; active listening. Mathematical Reasoning: calculate days supply, quantity, and other prescription details. Problem Resolution: identify and address challenging patient or colleague interactions. Physical Demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, repetitive finger/hand use, close visual acuity, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed. Ability to convey detailed information verbally and receive detailed information through oral communication. Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs. Anticipated Weekly Hours

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is:

$18.70 - $27.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Benefits
