Our Pharmacy Technicians (Technicians) play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. Responsibilities
Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and patient service exceeds expectations. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication as part of the pharmacy team. Contribute to a safe and inclusive culture where all people feel valued and empowered. Complete a rigorous company training program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements per state guidelines. Be flexible for scheduling and business needs; travel to stores in the market as needed. Deliver additional patient health care services when allowed by law and supported by training and certification (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, offsite clinics). Where permissible, responsibilities may include immunization support as described below. Immunization Support (where permissible)
Complete licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status for preparing and administering vaccines. Educate patients about vaccines and refer questions to the Pharmacist on duty. Monitor for adverse reactions and report per public health requirements. Review and collect patient information; track and document for each applicable patient. Monitor and manage vaccine supplies. Required Qualifications
Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements related to age, education, licensure/certification. If required by state, minimum age is 16; high school diploma or equivalent or active enrollment in high school/program. State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state. Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe. Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot between tasks, ensure prescription information and labeling accuracy. Customer service and team orientation: help people and respond to patient reactions. Communication: interact with patients and colleagues; active listening. Mathematical reasoning: calculate days supply, tablets, and bottles as needed. Problem resolution: handle challenging interactions and choose appropriate actions. Physical demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, repetitive finger work, fine motor tasks, visual acuity, and strength as needed. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to convey information accurately. Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager. Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings. Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs. Aspiring Schedule and Pay
Anticipated Weekly Hours: 20 Time Type: Part time Pay Range: $18.70 - $27.00 per hour Benefits
