Responsibilities

If you are committed to humankindness, social justice, health equity, and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us. Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift. Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation. Collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging to care for cancer patients. Specialty: Liquid and solid tumors, hematology floor, with multiple blood transfusions in one shift, chemotherapy, good IV skills, and clinical judgement for recognizing oncologic emergencies. Oncology-trained nurses; 30% oncology-certified nurses (OCN) - oncology specialty; minor spinal surgery overflow (laminectomies). Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) trained for biochemotherapy infusions. RN IIIs & RN IVs engaged in shared governance serving in multiple hospital-based practice councils. Qualifications

Degree in Nursing from an accredited program, college, or university. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire. At least one (1) year of RN experience. Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS). Overview
