Responsibilities

Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift.
Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and document promptly.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as social workers, care coordinators, physical and occupational therapists, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging to care for cancer patients.
Specialty: Liquid and solid tumors, hematology floor, with multiple blood transfusions, chemotherapy, strong IV skills, clinical judgment, assessment skills for oncologic emergencies, oncology-trained nurses, 30% oncology certified nurses (OCN), minor spinal surgery overflow (laminectomies).
Additional: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) trained for biochemotherapy infusions, RN IIIs & RN IVs engaged in shared governance serving in hospital-based practice councils.
Qualifications Qualifications: Degree in Nursing from an accredited program, college, or university. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years of hire. At least one (1) year of RN experience. Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
