Job Summary
The EEG Technologist I performs basic electroencephalographic recordings under supervision. This entry-level position involves preparing patients for procedures, documenting findings, and assisting senior technologists as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Apply electrodes according to the international 10–20 system.
Monitor EEG recordings and document technical observations.
Assist with patient preparation and education regarding procedures.
Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
Maintain clean and operational equipment following safety and infection control protocols.
Document procedure notes and complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Follow department protocols and infection control policies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of or enrollment in an accredited EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technology program preferred.
Basic knowledge of EEG procedures and neuroanatomy.
CPR certification (BLS) required.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desire to obtain ABRET R. EEG T. certification within 1-2 years.
