Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Ops Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented engineering project leader to lead initiatives in developing and delivering next-generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems. The Firm Engineering Team will support retrofit designs for first-mile retrofits as well as controls & solutions development for future projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.
Manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, influencing and negotiating with internal and external partners.
Communicate effectively with senior executives, presenting technical solutions and business cases.
Travel up to 50% globally and work from a corporate office when not traveling.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Design, or related field.
3+ years experience in a design-related role.
Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, robotics, and high-speed manufacturing systems.
Ability to understand and validate design changes, and work within the full system development lifecycle.
Effective communication skills and ability to lead in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Engineering, Design, or related field.
Additional 3+ years experience in a design role.
