Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced
Network Maintenance Supervisor
to lead both tower maintenance operations, covering the deployment, upgrade, and decommissioning of wireless infrastructure, and oversee construction activities related to fiber infrastructure. The role will manage a team of tower technicians while also serving as the primary coordinator for contractor-led construction projects alongside area coordinators. Ensuring timelines, quality, and safety standards are met. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong project management capabilities, cross-functional coordination skills, and a deep understanding of outside plant (OSP) and wireless infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Construction & Project Oversight
Coordinate all phases of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and wireless site build projects Manage multiple in-house crews of maintenance technicians, fiber splicers, and construction coordinators with external subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality control, and timely project delivery. Track project budgets and schedules; escalate issues to leadership with proactive solutions to keep builds on track. Interpret network drawings, route maps, scopes of work, and fiber test results to ensure build accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with internal teams to align construction priorities with business needs. Communicate construction progress, challenges, and resource requirements to stakeholders and upper management. Ensure a smooth handoff of completed projects for network activation and service delivery.
Maintenance Operations & Field Management
Review, prioritize, and assign network trouble tickets, escalating those impacting customers. Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for towers and equipment. Supervise tower technicians including timecard approval, training, and performance reviews. Ensure safety compliance for all field activities and maintain up-to-date certification standards. Monitor tool and equipment inventory, coordinating with procurement and inventory control teams to ensure readiness for field operations.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in wireless or fiber infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or project management role. Demonstrated experience managing fiber network construction projects and coordinating with multiple contractors. Strong understanding of OSP fiber networks, including design, installation, and testing standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project/ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred. OSHA 30 and CPR certifications preferred.
Preferred Skills And Competencies
Ability to lead and motivate teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines. Strong project tracking, budgeting, and scheduling skills. Excellent communication skills for internal coordination and external contractor oversight. Familiarity with wireless network technologies, Ericsson equipment, tower safety protocols, and sweep/PIM testing. Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction drawings and fiber test results. Deep understanding of FTTH infrastructure, MDU design, and field deployment best practices.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand continuously, reach frequently, & bend at waist and knees frequently Requires working outdoors in all types of weather Ability to stoop, crawl, squat and lift 50 lbs.; and be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead occasionally Requires good finger and hand dexterity to utilize various hand tools in a repetitive manner
