As a Structural (Bridge) Engineer, you will serve in key technical roles on bridge design projects and perform design for all structural aspects of transportation projects on local, state, regional and national projects. You will be part of diverse multi-discipline teams delivering transportation planning and design and highway design projects. You may have opportunities to lead tasks and/or projects, applying your technical ability to address client challenges. You will work with local and national resources and be supported by Jacobs’ network of technical experts. Responsibilities

Lead tasks and/or projects on bridge design assignments Perform design for structural aspects of transportation projects (local, state, regional, national) Collaborate with multi-discipline teams on transportation planning and design Engage with clients to address significant and challenging problems Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Minimum of 7 years' professional bridge engineering experience Demonstrated professional design experience predominantly in bridges with a focus on DOT projects Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio or PE (state other than Ohio) with ability to obtain Ohio license within 6 months of employment Solid understanding of DOT practices, procedures, and standards Solid understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable codes Proficiency in bridge design software (e.g., LEAP Concrete/Bridge, AASHTOWare BrR, Larsa 4D, MIDAS Civil, MDX) Competency in bridge/highway CADD software (MicroStation, InRoads, Geopak, Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer) Strong communication and technical writing skills Structural problem analysis skills and familiarity with design and calculation tools Preferred / Ideally you'll also have

Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Existing Ohio DOT and/or local county/city/municipal relationships Active professional involvement in local engineering societies Task Lead/Bridge Lead experience Design-Build project experience Salary and benefits

Base pay range:

$100,000.00/yr - $147,900.00/yr . Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and relevant skills, experience, and education. Our health and welfare benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and stock purchase options. Eligible employees may enroll in deferred compensation plans.
