The Operating Engineer Class 2 operates and maintains air handling equipment, ventilation equipment, medical air compressor equipment, air dryers, domestic water pumps, heat exchangers and pumps, VAV control boxes, valves, chiller systems, any boilers (up to and exceeding 12,500,000 btu/hr or equivalent energy input) and other associated equipment in support of the hospital general maintenance functions. Utilizes the Energy Management System (EMS) to control temperatures and equipment throughout INTEGRIS Health. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
Responsibilities
Monitors and troubleshoots assigned equipment
Follows preventive maintenance schedules for testing, cleaning, planned repairs, equipment lubrication, and operation
Installs and maintains a wide variety of mechanical equipment within the scope of the plant operations area
Operates and maintains all boilers up to and exceeding 12,500,000 btu/hr, or its equivalent energy input
Tests, calculates, and applies water treatment to boiler condensate, feed water, chilled water loop, heating water loop, condensing water system and cooling tower
Collects utilities data and analyzes it for trends
Reads and interprets building and control drawings
The Operating Engineer reports to assigned Manager, Director, or Lead

Frequent exposure to physical and chemical hazards, including extremes in temperature, chemicals, fumes, and dusts

Qualifications
Equivalent military or industrial specialty training in refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems required
3 years documented experience in the direct operation and maintenance of boilers covered by this class of license, 1 year of which must be with power boilers OR, a min. of 3 year's experience in the direct operation and maintenance of boilers as a 3rd Class Boiler Operator
Oklahoma Dept. of Labor Class 1 or Class 2 Boiler Operator License
Oklahoma Journeyman Mechanical License (unlimited required) or class enrollment within 6 months
Must be able to communicate effectively in English
