Job Overview
The CT Technologist - Cat Scan - Part Time/Nights role at Antelope Valley Medical Center is responsible for providing technical skills in the CT Department, operating CT equipment to produce high-quality images, and delivering quality health care and customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate CT scanner, table, and gantry. Maintain optimal performance and safety of all CT equipment. Properly position patients for CT examinations. Use radiation protection for patients and staff. Follow established protocols and perform ordered exams correctly. Assess patients' labs, medications, and allergy history. Administer IV contrast and use contrast warmer. Complete examinations and execute PACS and RIS. Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures. Non-Essential Duties
Schedule patient appointments. Transport patients as needed. Order and stock supplies. Answer telephones. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of CT protocols and diagnostic equipment. Ability to operate CT scanner, table, and gantry. Ability to assess patients' lab values, medications, and allergy history. Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Graduate from ARRT Accredited Radiological Technology Program. 2 years of experience preferred. PACS and RIS experience. Required Licensure and/or Certifications
CRT from State of California. RT ARRT. Fluoroscopy certification. ARRT in Computed Tomography. BLS certification. Venipuncture certification. Antelope Valley Medical Center is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
