Overview Respiratory Therapist - Masonic - .6 Night at Fairview Health Services. This role supports pediatric/neonatal care at the Masonic Children’s Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN.

Job Responsibilities

Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care as prescribed by a physician.

Follow defined treatment protocols per department policies.

Collect, assess, interpret, and intervene as appropriate for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Ensure patient welfare and safety during treatments.

Assess patient needs, implement respiratory interventions, and evaluate care and patient response.

Deliver care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patients.

Use effective communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.

Operate and maintain all Respiratory Care equipment.

Schedule This is 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). Night shift with 12-hour shifts, plus a rotation for every other weekend.

Compensation & Benefits Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (Flat rate / Not Prorated) for RTs with 2+ years of Neonatal/Pediatric experience at the Masonic Children’s Hospital location. If not meeting that experience, a $9,000 sign-on bonus may apply.

Shift differential: $2.00/hr for weekends; $4.00/hr for nights.

Qualifications

Education : Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.

Licenses & Certifications : Respiratory Therapist License (Minnesota Board of Medical Practice); Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC). New graduates must obtain RRT within 1 year of hire date. Basic Life Support (BLS).

Required Additional Requirements : Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.

Preferred : Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.
