Overview
Fairview is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at our Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN.
We’re offering a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus (Flat rate / Not Prorated) for RTs with 2+ years of Neonatal / Pediatric experience who are hired at our Children's Masonic Hospital location. If you do not have the listed experience, you may qualify for our $11,250 Sign-On Bonus.
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician. Follows defined treatment protocol according to department policies. Collects, assesses, interprets, and intervenes as appropriate in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Ensures patient welfare and safety standards during treatments.
Schedule This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length is 12 hours on the night shift, with a rotation every third weekend.
Shift Differentials:
Night: $4/hr
Weekends: $2/hr

Responsibilities
Assessing patient needs and identifying expected outcomes.
Implementing Respiratory interventions based on plan of care.
Evaluating care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Delivering care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Operating and maintaining all Respiratory Care equipment.
Required Qualifications
Education
Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field
License/Certification/Registration
Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Exceptions include: New Graduates only – must complete RRT within 6 months of hire date
