Project Engineer – Industrial Electric, Inc.

An IEI Project Engineer assists the Project Manager, manage all aspects of a project(s) including safety, quality, organization, planning, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and daily issues, to ensure project completion on time, within budget, and to quality standards that meet or exceed IEI and customer expectations. The role involves enforcing safety procedures, adhering to budgets and schedules, enforcing company policies, and fostering a fair and uniform work environment, contributing to the company's success and customer loyalty.

Responsibilities As a Project Engineer, your primary role is to support the Project Team in all aspects of project execution to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and quality surpassing client expectations.

Project Start-Up: planning, coordinating with Project Managers, Operations Managers, and Superintendents. Supporting project activities through research, interpretation of codes, conflict resolution, and error correction. Initiating and maintaining project schedules and lifecycle management. Project Build: assisting with RIFs, change notices, vendor materials, and managing material logistics. Resolving engineering and construction issues, attending meetings, and documenting minutes. Implementing cost controls, managing billings, and maintaining project documentation including drawings, reports, and quality control activities. Acting as a communication liaison among office, field, and project team members. Project Closeout: preparing close-out documentation, maintaining As-Builts, and managing punch list processes. Key Attributes Comfortable communicating with all leadership levels Collaborative, organized, proactive problem solver Integrity and commitment to excellence What It Takes Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or 1-4 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of construction processes; experience with Procore is a plus.
