Position Summary

The Sales Account Manager will be managing assigned sales accounts which could be located within or outside the USA. Through a deep understanding of markets, customer needs, and business operations, the Sales Account Manager develops strategic and annual business plans to achieve key financial, customer, capability, and process objectives. Partnering with cross‑functional teams, the Sales Account Manager will drive business decisions on the viability of commercial projects while strengthening the company’s position as a strategic long‑term partner for key customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Negotiate pricing, volume agreements, and commercial terms Ensure proper documentation of customer contracts Prepare sales forecasts and budgets Monitor sales performance vs. targets and propose corrective actions Provide regular market and competitive feedback Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in defined markets or regions Support development of new applications or products in collaboration with technical team / product management

Reporting

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date account records (incl. call reports) Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for internal stakeholders

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with product management, supply chain, quality, and production planning to align customer needs and internal capabilities Escalate and resolve issues impacting order fulfilment or customer satisfaction

About You

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Supply Chain Management, or Chemical Engineering. Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable. Minimum of 7 years of progressive sales experience in the chemical industry. Proven track record of successfully managing Sales accounts in a global context. In‑depth understanding of the Chemicals industry, including knowledge of global customers, key suppliers, market trends, and specifically aroma chemicals. Strong negotiation skills are imperative. Must have the capability to secure favorable terms and agreements with an in‑depth understanding of supply chain implications while also maintaining positive relationships. Experience in managing activities on a global scale, dealing with business partners from different regions, and understanding regional variations in regulations and market dynamics. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external customer / business partners. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast‑paced industry, adapting to changing market conditions and business requirements. Fluent business English is a must. Having good command of another major language (e.g. Spanish, French, etc.) is an advantage. Ability to travel primarily domestically both by land and by air approximately 25% – 30% of the time.
