Senior Construction Manager

to support one of the most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States — the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). In this role, you will be responsible for managing field operations, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, driving safety and quality, and ensuring schedule and budget adherence for one of the largest infrastructure projects in the region. We are working in partnership with Parsons and Mace as part of the

MPA Delivery Partner team , selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the broader Gateway Program — one of the most ambitious and impactful transportation initiatives in the nation — and is designed to strengthen mobility, enhance resiliency, and ensure the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor. Role Accountabilities : Construction Oversight & Field Management : Lead and manage all construction activities, including field operations, contractor supervision, and coordination with project stakeholders. Project Controls & Reporting : Oversee schedule management, including maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely completion of all construction phases. Team Leadership & Coordination : Supervise and mentor construction management staff, field engineers, and subcontractors. Compliance & Quality Management : Ensure compliance with NEPA, Section 106, permitting, and other environmental and regulatory requirements. Risk & Change Management : Lead risk management activities, including maintaining risk registers, facilitating risk analysis, and supporting contingency planning. Stakeholder Engagement : Represent GDC in meetings with regulatory agencies, community stakeholders, and external partners. Required Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in construction management for large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects. Key Skills and Abilities : Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex field operations. Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including NEPA, Section 106, permitting, and safety standards. Strong expertise in project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk management.
