is opening a brand new state-of-the-art clinic in Hammond, LA. We are seeking a well-rounded Veterinary Practice Manager to help us achieve our vision for an easy-to-access, quality care experience for pets and their owners. Job Description

We are hiring a practice manager pre-opening to assist in a variety of tasks in preparation for the grand opening in December 2025. This is an opportunity to incorporate your vision into a new facility. Responsibilities

Practice design Equipment ordering and tracking Pre-opening marketing Vendor account setup PMS setup Supply purchasing Support staff interviewing, hiring and training for the grand opening Maintain effective communication with pet owners and veterinary staff; demonstrate management, organizational, and customer service skills Prepare employee work schedules and manage the office staff Direct on-the-job training, set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct appraisals Recruit/hire/onboard staff who fit the hospital culture; assist with job descriptions and salary considerations Market the hospital to prospective customers and the veterinary community Resolve informal employee complaints; maintain effective employee-management communication Obtain information from owners for records, instruct scheduling, and relay practitioners’ orders Answer calls professionally; address and resolve pet owners’ complaints Show unbiased judgment in personnel decisions and disciplinary actions Establish and manage inventory control, price levels, and vendor relationships; include controlled substances and general supplies Implement hospital policies, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA Ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness Maintain good vendor relationships and respond to emergencies with veterinary staff Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications

Experienced or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) with a minimum of 1 year management experience preferred, or 3+ years veterinary experience preferred Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills Ability to work well with all team members and support the hospital, doctors, and practice philosophy Compassionate, calm, team-oriented Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task Highly organized with computer proficiency Knowledge of patient record assembly and veterinary terminology for accurate records Self-starter with a drive to continue learning Open availability with flexibility to adjust hours as needed Additional Information
