An opportunity has arisen for a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse (either RMN or RGN) to work within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service in Nairn and also the wider Drug and Alcohol Service in Highland. Responsibilities
Work within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service with close links to colleagues in the Community Mental Health Teams and the wider multidisciplinary team. Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and a wide range of clinical skills, including offering interventions, harm reduction advice and delivering safe, effective care to a diverse client population. Carry out assessments and develop and implement treatment plans. Offer supervision and support to junior staff within the team. Work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team and as an autonomous practitioner. Possess good interpersonal skills and a commitment to joint working. The preferred candidate will be already qualified and registered with the NMC as a non-medical prescriber or be willing to undertake this training on appointment. Qualifications and Requirements
Significant post-registration experience, with relevant experience in the Drug and Alcohol field. A full current driving licence and use of a car for work purposes is essential. RMN or RGN with eligibility for registration with the NMC; non-medical prescriber status preferred or willingness to undertake training. Enquiries
