Position: Patient Care Tech Location: Evanston Hospital Employment type: Full-time Hours: Day/PM (7am-3:30pm / 3pm-11:30pm) with rotating weekends Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 (determined by experience and qualifications) What You Will Do
Perform duties requiring normal mental, visual, and auditory attention with manual dexterity for sustained periods. Assess patients and read/record patient charts; maintain visual and auditory acuity for communication with patients and healthcare team (masks may be worn). Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, chemicals, and other hazardous materials; operate under health and safety guidelines. Work under pressure to meet patient care needs; assist with patient movement using appropriate equipment for non-emergency transfers; may assist with lifting up to 50 pounds in urgent events. Wear PPE as applicable (N95 mask/PAPR). Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift. What You Will Need
Eligible to work in the US Completion of an accredited CNA training course preferred Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association). If not current, must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, prioritization, and the ability to follow directions Basic computer skills Benefits (For Full Time Or Part Time Positions)
