Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift Pay rate: $22 to $26 (depending on experience) Job Summary Leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of high-quality steel shelving and cabinets for garage, basement, storage, and commercial storage applications seeks a dynamic individual to join their team as the Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and machinery to support efficient operations/production. Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain mechanical equipment Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic machinery Conduct preventative maintenance checks on equipment and systems on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly cadence Troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations Perform general maintenance tasks Key Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or combination of education and experience 2 - 5 years’ experience performing similar duties Skills and Abilities Experience with pneumatics, motor & conveyor systems repair Experience with forklift management Experience with lockout/tagout procedures Ability to work varying shifts Working knowledge of basic tools and proper use of tools Knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Knowledge of welding and fabricating is a plus Experience with box makers and stretch wrap equipment is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical/Mental Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
