Madison, Neenah, South Fond du Lac and Sheboygan Falls; Travel required. Job Summary Team Lead – Shift Operations (Combustion Turbine Sites & Traveling Crew). This leadership role supports the Wisconsin Combustion Turbine Sites and Traveling Crew, guiding operational teams, aligning daily activities with plant-specific goals, and ensuring performance meets financial and operational targets. As a key site leader, the Team Lead participates in developing strategic objectives and monitors progress toward goals, ensuring resources are deployed effectively and that team efforts drive safety, operational excellence, and profitability.
What You Will Do
Performs all leadership duties, including hiring and rewarding talent, fostering an inclusive and safe workplace, partnering with employees to set clear goals and expectations, providing timely and specific feedback on performance, developing improvement plans to address performance gaps, addressing conflict with care and respect, identifying opportunities for growth and development, embracing and modeling lifelong learning, ensuring employees report to work fit for duty, adhering to our Code of Conduct, and modeling Alliant Energy’s Core Values at all times.
Directly participates in the development of plant-specific goals and objectives.
Continuously monitors performance against financial and operating goals and communicates the information to employees.
Ensures employees understand and accept business unit and plant/unit financial and operating goals, guiding them to focus efforts on achieving these goals.
Demonstrates leadership in safety, including observing and enforcing safety rules and operating practices, encouraging safe work behaviors, and promptly correcting unsafe conditions or behaviors.
Administers and monitors safety programs and performs safety assessments.
Plans, assigns duties, and supervises employees on the shift, ensuring duties are performed per plant policies and procedures.
Leads the implementation of process improvements with focus on critical processes and systems performance.
Ensures all aspects of plant operations comply with environmental rules and regulations.
Engages in other duties as needed to support Alliant Energy’s values and purpose.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related area (Preferred)
Required Experience
3 years of related experience.
Preferred Experience
Experience in manufacturing maintenance or mechanical/electrical engineering.
Demonstrated experience working with labor union management.
Other Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Demonstrated knowledge in manufacturing or electrical plant operations (preferred).
Knowledge of layout, equipment, and operating requirements of a generating station or manufacturing plant.

Financial skills such as budgeting and basic accounting (preferred).
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to use computer software programs (email, word processing, spreadsheets, project management) (preferred).
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $83,000.00 - $115,000.00. This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
