Our company is looking to hire a Rail Superintendent. You will be working side by side with your crew as its leader. You will be responsible for the quality of the project as well as its production. The work requires travel and being on the road most of the year as we have multiple projects. GeoStabilization International is the leading geohazard mitigation firm operating throughout the United States and Canada. We specialize in Geohazard emergency response to landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, and grouting using design/build and design/build/warranty contracting. Responsibilities

Manage all phases of Railjet construction projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and material management. Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, client requirements, and project specifications are met. Operate and supervise Railjet equipment and related machinery (shotcrete pumps, grout pumps, forklifts, MEWPs, skid steers, etc.). Demonstrate expertise in shotcrete and grout applications, ensuring accurate mix designs and minimizing waste. Coordinate with engineers, clients, and general superintendents to align with project objectives. Maintain accurate project documentation according to GSI and client standards. Manage and motivate crews and subcontractors, fostering efficiency and quality. Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime. Support and guide lower-level technicians and craft workers. Ensure site preparation and hazard mitigation practices are in place for safe operations. Place and manage material orders, oversee delivery, and maintain site equipment. Use electronic devices for documentation, communication, and reporting. Oversee site preparation, equipment mobilization, and material distribution for safe and efficient task execution. Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment to maintain operations. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the Foreman or Superintendent. Perform final inspections of job sites to ensure safety and quality before demobilization. Provide support in managing project budgets, timelines, and logistics when needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction (geotechnical experience preferred), including job management and knowledge of building products and services. Understanding of high-angle scaling, rockfall mitigation, and geohazard stabilization procedures. Experience operating heavy construction equipment and managing its use on job sites. Ability to lead projects, manage teams, and work autonomously with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address challenges quickly and effectively. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a crew. Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications. Safety-focused with the ability to identify hazards and implement corrective measures. Ability to mentor and train staff in technical skills, safety, and equipment use. Ability to work in high-pressure environments and ensure team collaboration. Class A CDL preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to travel extensively.

Climates vary from tropical to desert environments. The noise level is moderate; hearing protection is often required. Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
