Grants Coordinator
Job Summary Support the Public Grants Department in developing competitive grant applications for public funders. Tasks include research, administrative supports, writing supports, and other duties as assigned to assist in the department’s success. Works with diverse staff and stakeholders. Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Public Grants. Responsibilities
Research to identify public grant funding opportunities that are aligned with Metropolitan Family Services' programs and services. Review Notice of Funding Opportunities and write summaries with recommendations to the Public Grants team. Assist in the development of high-quality grant applications and help to ensure grant application deadlines are met. Research and keep updated demographic and other statistical data to describe Metropolitan Family Services’ diverse target geographic areas and target populations. Prepare need and gaps sections and other demographic trend narratives for public grant proposals. Review, gather and maintain paperwork requirements for grant attachments to support the Public Grants team in developing grant proposal packages. Participate in information sessions / webinars / bidders conferences related to the Notice of Funding Opportunity and provide the Public Grants team a summary of the session. Proactively work to enhance skills and understanding of grant making and Metropolitan Family Services through professional development both within the organization and externally. Self-motivated and disciplined to achieve agreed upon goals, with excellent organizational, interpersonal and networking skills. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications
Associates Degree from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A minimum of two (2) years related experience in the grant field. Driver’s license, vehicle and insurance required. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals/groups. Ability to work independently as well as in teams. Excellent computer skills with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and diverse web-based data applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Writing Sample required. Education
