AvtechTyee is searching for a

Manufacturing Engineer 3

with project management experience and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility. Working on site at the facility is required. You will be on the electronics team, supporting manufacturing, driving process improvements, and championing innovation and change. Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr. The target wage/salary range for this role may be within $90k - $130k, depending on education and experience. Responsibilities

Project Work

Manage & implement productivity improvement projects of all sizes Optimize process flow and improve areas of constraint with layout changes, tooling, equipment, or other solutions Prioritize work effectively and prepare periodic status reports for projects and activities; deliver professional reports to senior leadership Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into sustainable and effective manufacturing processes, including review and recommendations for design change, tooling, and equipment Coordinate with cross-functional teams to offload processes/products to suppliers in a timely manner with minimal disruption Evaluate and justify purchase of new capital equipment based on cost-benefit analysis; deliver formal Capex documentation to leadership Qualify, document, and implement new process equipment and services in a timely manner with minimal disruption Daily Work

Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, routers and work instructions for product manufacturing and test Create, document, and conduct training and certifications for fixture/equipment operation and critical methods Track and analyze first-pass yield and failures; plan and implement corrective actions Work with suppliers and SQE to resolve manufacturability issues in the supply chain Participate on the Material Review Board, assess and disposition non-conformances, conduct failure analysis, root cause analysis, and provide corrective action Up to 20% travel may be required Technical Skills

Lean/Six Sigma Tooling design Statistical analysis Solidworks, CREO, Catia, CAD or other 3D modeling software Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel Working proficiency with DFMEA and PFMEA methodology and implementation Ability to use Design of Experiments methods to support process improvement Ability to perform Gage R & R Analysis for equipment qualifications Experience developing and implementing automation highly desired Experience with metal machining, fabrication and finishing methods and equipment (structures and electronics side) Experience with PCBAs, soldering, electronics component testing and custom test equipment (electronics side) What You’ll Need To Succeed

B.S. Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering with electrical focus, or other relevant engineering degree from an accredited institution 7+ years of experience in the aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industry 7+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing organization Experience with APQP and IPCA+ Leading small or medium sized projects and/or programs Demonstrated track record of effectively influencing without authority with all levels of an organization and leading effective/successful change initiatives Knowledge and experience in a professional business environment Better than average written and spoken communication skills Outstanding interpersonal relationship skills Strong focus and attention to detail Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex business environment Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills Strong focus on customer service Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position requires either a US Person or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization Benefits
