Leadership Duties and Responsibilities of this position

Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as assigned by supervisor. Works with Plant Manager and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in the plant. Ensures proper procedures are in place and being followed for production efficiency, quality and safety of product, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines. Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments to machines in conjunction with the maintenance team. Coordinates production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Evaluates needs in production for daily assignment of duties; establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Read and understand SDS information Maintains time and production records as required. Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Provides supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management. Trains and instructs employees regarding production and equipment standards and processes. Oversees instruction, implementation and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees. Leads by example with the CFF “Code of Quality”. This includes following Company policies, standards and specifications. Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating. Carry out the necessary leading responsibilities in accordance with the CFF Company policies, GMPs, Safety policies, SOPs, OSHA regulations. Effectively conduct team meetings. Support instilling a plant-wide safety culture. Provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees Performs other duties as assigned. SQF REQUIREMENTS
Maintains food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner. Required to wear food safety/sanitation clothing. This position necessitates conformance to personal hygiene regulations. Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current. Work Schedule
Full-time, First Shift Requires flexibility to work other shifts as defined by needs of the business Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred, and a minimum of 3 years plant supervisory experience. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices. Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications. Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Skills in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail. Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines. Ability to select, coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees. Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills that enable a high level of interaction with senior management within the company and across our customer and supply base. The candidate must pass a company pre-employment physical and drug screening prior to commencing work. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and stretch and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to identify and distinguish colors. Must have full range of body motion. While performing in this role the individual is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and /or humid conditions and risk of electrical shock. The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations. The employee must obey all safety rules. Benefits
