We are partnered with a growing manufacturing organization in the West Nashville area seeking a
Manufacturing Engineer
to support product development from concept through completion. This role involves leading engineering projects, mentoring design teams, and providing technical solutions to manufacturing and operational challenges. Responsibilities
Lead engineering projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Develop project plans, estimate resource requirements, and coordinate activities of engineering teams, contractors, and vendors. Perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision and mentor engineering design team members. Analyze and resolve manufacturing and product issues using root cause analysis and technical problem-solving. Lead brainstorming, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities to optimize manufacturing processes. Utilize CAE tools (SolidWorks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA) for design and analysis. Develop engineering standards and procedures and provide guidance on technical issues. Prepare project reports, communicate status to leadership, and participate in cross-functional meetings. Support process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (required). 3+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience. Experience leading Kaizen or continuous improvement projects. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques, SAP or MRP systems preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and related engineering tools. Six Sigma or FMEA experience. Experience with team leadership during the conceptual phase of product development.
