Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer at Kansas Crossing Casino + Hotel in Pittsburg, KS to maintain the integrity of the facility and support our core values of Fun, Friendly and Community. Responsibilities
Maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and kitchen equipment to ensure facility operations and guest satisfaction. Execute preventive maintenance programs and troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical and electrical systems. Maintain the physical structure, building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care and painting. Ensure compliance with OSHA, Hazcom and all safety and environmental regulations and maintain all MSDS sheets and procedures. Communicate effectively with the Chief Engineer and other department staff to coordinate work and report progress. Assist with the general upkeep of the facilities, including fire and life safety equipment and grounds, parking, lighting systems and controls. Participate on the property Safety Committee and perform other duties as assigned by the department. Qualifications
Motivated individual with strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently. Experience maintaining major mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, kitchen equipment and electrical controls. Knowledge of fire and life‑safety systems and ability to conduct safety inspections. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineering staff. Physical ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces, shifts, nights, weekends and overtime as required. Ability to calculate figures, interpret technical instructions and maintain accurate records.
