Lead engineering teams, define technical strategy, plan and execute software projects, allocate resources, collaborate with product managers, and ensure alignment with CMS Medicaid MITA evolution and outcomes. Encourage innovation and work with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations. Stay informed on industry trends to guide the team in adopting relevant solutions. Responsibilities

Leading and managing engineering teams: Building, mentoring, and managing a team of engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Includes resource allocation, task assignment, and performance management. Defining technical strategy: Setting the technical vision and strategy for software development within their domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Planning and executing software projects: Defining scope, timelines, deliverables, managing risks and dependencies, and delivering high-quality software solutions. Allocating engineering resources across large projects/programs and evaluating project status to ensure commitments and objectives are met. Partnering with product managers, stakeholders, and other teams to define requirements and deliver solutions effectively. Communicating with project team leadership, recommending program changes, triaging issues, and escalating as needed. Supporting product and solution alignment with MITA evolution and outcomes expectations. Fostering innovation and continuous improvement: Encouraging creative problem-solving, experimenting with new technologies, and driving initiatives to improve performance, quality, and scalability. Collaborating with stakeholders: Working with product managers, designers, QA professionals, and other teams to gather requirements and manage expectations. Staying informed on industry trends and guiding the team on adopting relevant solutions. Qualifications

12+ years of engineering experience in a related area 6+ years of leadership or supervisory experience Experience with engineering processes and procedures Experience aligning with the department’s overall business objectives and goals Technical skills: software development methodologies, programming languages (.Net and relevant frameworks), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), databases, and other SDLC tools Experience with Medicaid and claims processing domain knowledge What You Should Expect In This Role

Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%) Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation The deadline to submit applications for this posting is October 31, 2025. The pay range for this position is $116,600.00 - $166,600.00 per year, but base pay may vary based on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
