Field Service Engineer (Texas) at Loma Systems. Remote/travel role based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area (within an hour of DFW Airport preferred). Will consider based in Houston within an hour of IAH. Serves customers across the U.S., primarily TX, OK, NM, LA, MS. Loma Systems is a premier manufacturer of inspection equipment used to identify contaminants and product defects in the food and pharmaceutical industries. ITW revenues and scale are noted in the description; this role supports Loma’s service operations and customer-focused goals. Responsibilities

Travel and deliver efficient field support to customers in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Verify machines operate at peak efficiency through calibration and testing. Commission and test machines, perform preventative maintenance and emergency service at customer sites. Document and report service activities, including Electronic Service Reports, Calibration Reports and Expense Reports per company procedures. Promote sales of additional Loma product offerings such as service contracts, new equipment leads, spare parts kits, etc. Provide feedback on equipment reliability and design. Maintain parts inventory and requisition parts as needed for field duties. Maintain company property (laptop, cell phone, safety equipment, tools) in good condition. Exercise safe working practices at all times. Conduct on-site training with customer personnel and hold scope and exit meetings with customers. Participate in weekend on-call duties and after-hours phone support as part of rotation. Coordinate between the field and internal office support on technical issues; attend refresher training and FSE meetings to promote continuous improvement. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor related to the role. Requirements

High school diploma required; associate degree from a technical school preferred. Minimum 3 years of previous technical experience or 4 years of military experience; field travel experience preferred. Knowledge of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment; ability to identify root cause. Strong organizational skills for paperwork and expense reporting. Self-motivated with drive to exceed expectations. Ability to read and interpret complex technical information including schematics and electrical diagrams. Professional communication to resolve customer issues and defuse conflict. Desire to learn a diverse set of products and continually improve product knowledge. Proficient with electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters). Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment; hands-on problem solving. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing difficult customer situations. Proficiency with office software applications. Ability to work overtime and weekends. Physical & Environmental Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to travel extensively (approximately 80%+) to service customers. Must be able to work in tight spaces and environments that may be noisy, odorous, dusty, cold or hot. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 lbs regularly. Must be able to stand for long periods and perform varied physical activities (twist, bend, kneel, crawl, crouch, reach, climb) as required. Benefits
