Identify, develop and grow customer accounts in the designated region. Work with other Loma functional groups to ensure that customer issues are addressed and that Loma receives accurate communication of customer needs or issues and prompt payment. Actively seek and develop new opportunities through cold calling, email, trade shows, trade associations, etc. Identify key accounts in the region and develop action plans to gain Loma exposure and penetration into those businesses. Visit and maintain contact with customers and prospective customers to understand their needs and wants for standard Loma offerings. Manage general account development, activities and convert opportunities to closure. Maintain customer accounts in Loma’s CRM system to accurately show customer status, activity and forecasting; perform routine reporting as required. Become expert in the application and fundamentals of operation of Loma and Lock products, including PC-based simulation as needed. Execute consultative sales activities focusing on Loma’s differentiators (legacy, company, performance, durability, features and options). Gather competitive information and communicate it to management; seek referrals, testimonials and leads for other plants or regions. Demonstrate proficiency in specification of mechanical systems and instrumentation, including conveyors, belt speed relationships, product handling, and familiarity with US and metric measurement systems. Maintain knowledge of industries and key accounts Loma sells into; operate independently and professionally with efficient use of resources. Participate in trade shows as an attendee or host, including setup and teardown. Develop annual growth goals for the region and work to deliver them, with attention to prospecting, quoting and bookings. Proficient use of PC applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM and email tools. Engage in Loma toolbox initiatives and apply 80/20 principles to the region. Travel occasionally outside the region for trade shows or training. Provide monthly sales reports to the Sales Manager. Carry out additional tasks assigned by the supervisor related to the role. Qualifications
Essential:
High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Market Development, Account Management, or similar; industrial capital sales experience preferred. Strong communications, analytical and computer skills. Successful customer-facing sales experience; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions; ability to write routine reports; ability to present before groups. Ability to calculate figures (discounts, commissions, percentages) and to analyze data and draw conclusions. Good time management, multitasking and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license with minimum 50% travel required. Preferred:
Experience within a capital equipment manufacturing organization. Compensation Information
Base salary of 70-75k with a Commission Incentive Plan based on monthly and annual target achievement; commissions paid monthly. Equal Opportunity Employer
