Project Procurement Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
Working alongside the appropriate business personnel (Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Finance)
Solicitation and evaluation of bids and quotes in coordination with engineering and project management
Attaining cost reduction targets both pre and post book
Developing sourcing strategies and supply base to maturity
Sourcing and qualifying new sources and expansion of the supply base
Reduction in 3rd party non‑conformance costs
Supplier delivery and quality performance
Evaluation and qualification of new and current suppliers
PO approval and supply contract negotiation
Required Knowledge and Skills, Education, and Experience
College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business or related field, from an accredited school
2‑5 years procurement experience
2‑5 years of Electrical Distribution Industry and/or related Industry supplier experience
Computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint (advanced preferred)
Knowledge of Electrical Distribution project business its products, systems, and services or related industry
Prior participation in bid, scope, and project handoff meetings, obtaining basic information from prints and/or understanding scope documents
Proficient in English both oral and written formats
Preferred Knowledge and Skills, Education, and Experience
Ability to communicate thoughtfully and respectfully in both oral and written formats
Dynamic, energetic personality that is self‑motivated to succeed
Ability to take direction, both from manager and team‑members
Collaboration with other departments to resolve all issues
Ability to work both within a team atmosphere, and be able to work individually, in a fast‑paced environment
Positive and Constructive mindset
Familiarity and experience with project business in Data Center, Utility, Semiconductor, Industrial and Renewable space

Salary $89,670 – $153,720
