Lead Specialist, FEMA Grants Management role at KPMG US within the Advisory practice. We seek adaptable, collaborative professionals who can contribute to a team-driven culture and have an impact across the lifecycle of disaster relief programs. Responsibilities

Provide technical advisory services related to relief programs for disaster recovery, including program design and management for all recovery efforts, ensuring regulatory and process compliance to maximize funding, expedite rebuilding, and maintain program integrity. Develop and implement strategies to maximize federal and state disaster assistance; provide expert programmatic and policy advice on federal disaster relief programs and develop long-range recovery plans, including cost considerations for reconstruction and relocation/mitigation. Design and prepare presentations and reports, leveraging strong written communication skills to provide meaningful recommendations to clients. Contribute to industry and regulatory publications, write professional articles, and speak about current compliance issues at external seminars. Participate proactively in business development efforts for primary target clients within disaster locations. Schedule, plan, assign, provide direction, and review the work of team members on assigned engagements. Act with integrity and professionalism to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment. Qualifications

Minimum five years of recent experience in a compliance or project/program management role, working with state and federal disaster aid programs/agencies such as HUD and FEMA Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR). Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; current and thorough knowledge of federal laws, rules, and regulations related to federal and state disaster aid programs. Previous experience leading teams, managing projects, and actively participating in executing engagements. Demonstrated track record of client service and business development. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior executives. Ability to travel up to 80–100% of the time.
