Supplier Quality Engineer role at Cyient. Responsible for ensuring supplier quality through inspection records, compliance with customer guidelines, and collaboration with internal teams. Responsibilities

Quality Review: Inspect and verify inspection records produced by suppliers for part submissions. Documentation Compliance: Read and verify all documents in inspection records are submitted per customer guidelines; ensure compliance for raw materials, components, finished products, etc., from suppliers. APQP/PPAP Compliance: Ensure inspection records of components/products at the supplier meet agreed specifications and quality requirements (APQP / PPAP). Attention to Detail: Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Regulatory and Customer Standards: Maintain compliance with customer-specific requirements and industry standards. Special Processes Validation: Review documents to determine if special processes were used and confirm proper validation is complete or in progress. Engineering Documentation: Review engineering drawings, specifications of parts and raw materials within the record and FAIR (First Article Inspection Report). Supplier Qualifications: Verify supplier qualifications from customer portals and regulatory portals. Quality Improvement: Drive quality and compliance development and/or improvement at suppliers when needed. Cross-Functional Liaison: Liaise with Manufacturing Sites, Operations and customer Procurement to build quality and provide timely feedback to suppliers for corrections. Communication: Write technical feedback in English as required. Documentation Guidance: Guide suppliers for uploading documentation or using Net-inspect as needed. Audits: Perform regular audits on auto-approved inspection records. Data Management: Use Excel tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, macros, etc.) to manage data, build trackers, and analyze quality metrics. Customer Support: Support customer requests by providing accurate and timely metrics and presentations. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science discipline, or equivalent experience. Up to 4 years of experience establishing and maintaining regulated supplier management systems. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation, charts). Ability to speak and communicate with suppliers in English. Must be US national or GC holder to perform ITAR tasks. Preferred Skills

Quality-driven mindset with the ability to follow and improve structured workflows. Familiarity with customer portals - Enovia and Netinspect submission tools. Experience with quality management systems (QMS). Strong GD&T understanding and ability to interpret drawings and validate documents. Good English communication and ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Knowledge of FAIR, APQP, PPAP is a plus. Knowledge of key commodities like sheet metal, fabrication, hydraulics, casting or machining. Software Skills

Net-inspect, Enovia, Citrix, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft PowerPoint. Employment Details
