4KIDS is looking for a
Facilities Specialist
who is called to serve behind the scenes in providing Hope, Homes and Healing for children in crisis. The position will assist our Director of Facilities with a wide range of building maintenance and operations tasks. This "jack of all trades" role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety - handling repairs, responding to service requests, coordinating with vendors, and assisting wherever needed to keep our properties safe and efficient. Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs across building systems (lawn maintenance, minor painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing assistance, install power switches/ceiling lights and fans, etc.) Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks Troubleshoot and resolve facilities issues independently or escalate to Director when necessary Monitor and maintain tools, supplies, and equipment inventory Assist with vendor scheduling, contractor oversight, and project support Set up, move, and adjust office furniture, equipment, and fixtures Provide backup coverage for facilities emergencies (on call as assigned) Support house parents and program staff with property-related needs, work orders, and equipment requests Communicate effectively and courteously with house parents and property residents to provide progress updates and determine any issues Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Heart for ministry and alignment to serve in a Christ-centered ministry 2-4 years of hands-on facilities, maintenance, or trades experience Broad knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Flexible and adaptable - able to handle a variety of tasks daily Excellent communication skills for working with staff, vendors, and contractors Ability to lift/move equipment and work in a physical, hands-on environment indoors and outdoors Drive personal vehicle and company provided vehicle between offices and properties Availability to work evenings and weekends to respond to urgent property issues as needed Must successfully complete drug screening and initial and annual background screenings Why work at 4KIDS?
