Location: Laurel, MD Role is with Quality Engineering & Manufacturing in the United States.
Role Overview The Quality Supervisor ensures food safety compliance, monitors production, and implements quality controls for top-tier products, working with production, R&D, and regulatory teams.
Key Responsibilities
Uphold Quality and Food Safety Policies, promoting a culture of quality improvement.
Guide operations to deliver exceptional quality.
Supervise quality specialists and technicians to maintain production standards.
Collaborate on key quality checks, aligning with hold and complaint data.
Manage quality hold program, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions with trend data.
Ensure net content compliance for volume and weight.
Support new product launches and formulation changes.
Apply best practices within the facility or network.
Monitor and improve Quality Metrics/KPIs.
Support GMP, HACCP, and FSMA FSP compliance, minimizing water use.
Assist regulatory agencies as needed.
Conduct monthly KPI reviews to meet business goals.
Assess and improve quality system performance.
Reflect company values in all actions.
Measurable Outcomes
Reduced CPMU (Consumer Complaints Per Million Units).
Effective GMP and lessons learned distribution.
Fewer pallets on hold.
Decreased food safety incidents.
Levels of Responsibility
Deploy QA standards.
Meet market-level QA targets (CPMU, RFT, CRQS).
Manage hold program and net content compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
5+ years in Food safety systems, ideally in dairy/frozen foods.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
FSSC 22000, Non GMO and Internal Audits.
PSCQI Certified is a must.
Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
Proficient in quality control software and reporting.
